Typical bee shrimps show few requirements
on water quality. Adversely, crystal red
shrimps were very sensitive to water quality
and the water must be thoroughly clean.
The existence of NH3 is never allowable
and this is also a major fatal cause to
crystal red shrimps.
Survival Conditions: PH value: 5.0~8.0
KH value: 1~6 Water Temperature: 15~28
Celsius Degrees
Breeding Conditions: PH value: 6.2~6.8,
KH value:1~2, Water Temperature: 24~26
Celsius Degrees
When the water temperature is 25 celsius
degrees, it optimal for egg hatching,
shrimp life expectancy will be shortened
under high temperature, because every
increased celsius degree will make oxygen
solving in water increased. In other words,
shrimps bred under low temperature will
be merited with longer life expectancy.
If PH value higher than 7.5 will also
cause imminent risk, this situation should
be also noteworthy. Whenever there is
a known fact that if a large proportion
of aquatic water is replaced, the remaining
chlorine and significantly fluctuating
ph values will cause shock or bad health
to shrimps. If the situation lasts from
a few hours or some days, it will naturally
cause death finally. Thus, be very careful
to replace aquatic water! Whenever there
is any faded body color happening to crystal
red shrimps, it exactly means the beginning
of water deteriorating! At this moment,
the organic objects and droppings hidden
in bottom soils should be cleaned. 1/3
proportion of aquatic water should be
replaced thereafter.
Under the soft water condition with weak
acidity, crystal red shrimps frequently
decorticate with rapid growth available.
Under the hard water condition with weak
acidity, crystal red shrimps seldom decorticate
with slow growth resultantly.
